Hi guys,
Hope someone can help me with this problem here.
I have a pc which runs Windows 7 as a main OS and also Windows 8.
My dual boot screen is the Windows 8 one, because I like that one better ;-)
I have had installed Windows updates on my Win7, but after reboot my Win7 won't startup again. I did something that wasn't too smart maybe, but I didn't know what else to do. After the installs, my pc wanted to reboot. First you get those Installing xx% of updates""texts and after that it says Shutting off...
It was Shutting Off for almost half an hour and I thought.. well.. umm.. not good.. but lets wait a bit.
30 minutes later the screen was still the same. So I pushed the power button to turn it off.
From that moment on, when it starts up, I'm not getting the BIOS screen, its black.
It does however go up to the Windows 8 Dual boot screen. I can start Win8. Work with it.. But It won't start Win7... And I can't see the BIOS screen.
When I tried inserting the DVD to repair it, I can't see the screen "Press a key to start from Cd.."
Weird thing is that there's no screen until the Win8 dual boot screen.
And no way to get into Win7. But I can use my Win8. But all my important stuff and programs are installed on Win7..
The only thing I notice is that my monitor keeps searching for Digital or Analog until he finds it's been enough and goes into sleep modus. He will wake up at the dual boot screen though.
I tried to shut it off, remove the power cable for quite some time. I had it turned off for the whole weekend.
I tried unplugging all external devices and start up.
I tried removing the CMOS battery.
And I tried to start up Win8 and install/repair with the Win7 dvd, but Win8 keeps saying he can't start the program... ugh.
Help... please..
