Hi all.
I recently built a new desktop and it was working beautifully for the first two weeks.
Then it started randomly crashing. No BSOD, log says nothing. The freezing occurs randomly after anywhere from 1 to 40 hours uptime. Most commonly within 6 hours.
At first I suspected an old HDD I had salvaged from previous build was the problem - but after replacing that it's apparent that wasn't the case.
So far I've:
Done a static discharge.
Reseated RAM and GPU. Unplugged an re-plugged everything except CPU.
Ran memtest, no results.
Specs:
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
CPU - i5 3570k with stock cooler (not overclocked, never goes above 55 Celsius)
GPU - N660 TF 2GD5/OC, GTX 660 from MSI.
RAM - 2x4GB Corsair value ram
SSD - Intel 330 120gb
HDD - Used to be some old samsung, now a Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 1GB
DVD drive - Samsung SH-224BB
OS: Win 7 Ultimate
