Only IE can connect to internet.

Hello,

I just got a new asus laptop with 8gb RAM, I'm running windows 7, and have a intel CORE i3 processor. For the first few days of having this computer, it was working completely fine, everything was runing smoothly. I got a 30 day trial of AVG Antivirus until I could find something I wanted to keep. After having this for about a week, I was using ArcSoft ShowBiz for my HDPVR and it stopped working, where it got no signal on my tv, or ShowBiz. So I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, but it wouldnt reinstall, the drivers and other applications that came with the HDPVR worked, but not ShowBiz. So I tried so search it up on chrome, I couldn't connect to the internet. Now nothing can connect, skype, Minecraft, LoL, Chrome, etc. Nothing would connect except IE. I tried using the cmd to fix the problem, but nothing would work. I tried uninstalling Chrome, then reinstalling it frome IE, but i got an error message from IE everytime I tried to reinstall it.
