Hey all,
After trawling the net for hours, and coming up empty, I thought I would post here.
Basically just bought new PC running win7 Home Premium 64 Bit, inside it has a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard with a AMD FX(tm)-4100 quad core processor. It used onboard sound (driver hdaudio.sys) with the usual 3 ports at the back and 2 at the front. I am using no audio management software (i.e realtec HD audio manager etc).
The problem lies in the left / right sound channels being reversed. Any medium, any port outputting, games, windows, films etc. Everything is reversed. I only have a small area setup, and no 5.1/7.1 surround speakers or anything so it isn't usually a problem (or noticeable) except when playing a game that uses headphones (any 1st person shooter type thing). Then the switched audio channels causes a major problem.
As i said, I have trawled the net, and so far all i can find is a lot of people with similar issues and no actual resolution.
For the record i have not / cannot:
- Wear the headphones back to front
- Buy various connectors / jacks to rewire the speakers / headphones to compensate
I find it really hard to believe that no software exists out there that can simply reverse the output of a sound card / onboard sound at an OS level (i.e not just for specific programs).
All my drivers etc are up to date, it is a very fresh win7 install so no other conflicting software, re-install of another win7 (also 64 bit) doesn't solve, even tried safe mode...still happens.
So I put it to you dear people...am i missing something??
