icon size in win 7

win 7 ultimate 64 bit
asus mobo
8 gb ram in dual channel
300 gb raptor hd
22 in samsung monitor

I am trying to make the folders on my desktop small without making the corresponding text under the folders real small. The monitor resolution is now at 1280 x 720. I would like to keep it that way unless i should change it?

If i go to display and change the text size higher it also makes the folders larger and i want the folders to be small but keep the text size.

Can you help me out?
