Windows 7 loading

I can't seem to load windows at all on my HP G17.

I have a disk and when I go to system restore I get:

an unspecified error occurred during system restore 0x80070002

I can't load into safe mode as it doesn't get passed where I can hit f8 it just loops back and forth.

I try system repair and it doesn't find anything to repair,

I do have access to CMD.

When It's looping I can hit escape and have the following options:

System information
System diagnostics ( all test passed)
Boot device options
BIOS setup
and System Recovery

When I hit system recovery I get:

The Windows Boot Configuration Data (BCD) store file contains some invalid information.

status: 0xc0000034

So clueless on what to do I've tried googling for the past 2 hours can't seem to find a fix. I one point I was able to enter system recovery and it would bsod. I'm pretty sure the error was cause by a registry problem but I can't seem to get the BSOD to get the error message again.

Forgot to post what happen before. I updated the laptop and disabled some startup services in msconfig and rebooted since then I haven't been able to load back in.
