Problem as it occured:
During one of my gaming sessions with friends, my computer froze and the display went into a variety of rgb values all over the screen with visible lines all over the screen. I was unable to ctrl + alt + delete to diagnose issues or whatnot, so I shut down my computer. After turning it back on, the display broke up into 6 panes at a resolution of (640 x 480) and has a black bar vertically down the center of the screen and horizontal lines of white and similar rgb values mixed in. (really funky to look at) However, I was fortunate enough to be able to snag a DxDiag file after meticulously trying to memorize where everything on windows is.

Notes:
I'm about 90% sure that my computer has successfully melted the graphics card or at least it's connection is some way. It was notorious for becoming alarmingly hot (approx. 120 degrees +? ) and I had recently taken measures (cooling pad) to attempt to bring this down and prevent further injury to myself. (it pretty much started cooking my left leg; no worries, it's healed now.) I wanted to see if anyone knew the diagnose process well enough to determine if it was in fact the graphics card itself or an issue with the driver or software.
My graphics card was a NVIDIA GeForce GT 435M 2GB graphics card
