Best "Glossary" tool?

Hi,

I am desperately looking for a tool (program, way) which will allow me to note words including there definition and to store it alphabetically.

Right now, I am working with a simple word document. But it takes too long, if want to see a word (and its explenation) as the number of words is constantly increasing.

Has anybody an idea which program I could use for this? Or do I have to create a data base for this? Isn t there any "glossary share ware" for download?
