Hi,
My brother's Acer Aspire One Netbook 532h-2db operating Window 7 had this prolonged problem of refusing to start-up. Pressing F8 during initial switch on or pressing Fn with Esc button will start up computer after several attempts.
Changed new CMOS cell, replaced RAM did not solve the problem. Send for repair to Acer and later two other shops came back motherboard chip problem and beyond repair.
My brother was still using the computer the hard way, by repeatedly pressing the buttons. To make life easier for him, he will never switch it off and let it go into sleep mode (Fn+F4)
After a couple of months now the PC has repaired itself. Now it can be switched off and on without any hiccup. This has been going on for the past month. Good thing he did not throw it away.
Any explanation, please...
