Optional windows update IE10 and IE9

I opened up and saw the windows update options which included:
- Cumulative security update for IE9 kb2809289 (27Mb) (ticked by default)
- IE10 (69.1Mb) (unticked by default)

Would be ok to untick the ie9 update and tick the ie10 - which would mean that windows update will uninstall ie9 and install ie10?
