Recently, I decided to install a bunch of updates for my PC, including a BIOS and sound driver update. However, after doing so, I noticed a major problem - whenever I perform even the smallest of actions (navigating the Windows Explorer, opening up a new program, changing the volume) there is noticeable lag and a delay in the sound that the process is supposed to make. However, this is not a problem once the process is opened (watching a video, playing a game, browsing a loaded web page). This is a consistent problem that happens all the time. I assume this is due to a BIOS update, though I performed a bunch of other updates at the same time, so its hard for me to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem. I have a Windows 7 OS. Thanks in advance.
