Blue screen with message. Computer not starting. Urgent.

I was using my laptop today and it suddenly showed a blue screen that said "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer". After this when i try to put my pc on, it gives me 2 options
1) Start windows normally- When i choose this it restarts and bring me back to the 2 options
2)Start windows repair- When i choose this, it starts to load files but they never load, it just freezes. (i waited for more than 2 hours)
I tried starting in "safe mode" and "safe mode with networking" but again it starts to load a lot of files and freezes on the last file which is windows/system32/sys/disk or something similar. What should i do?
Please help.
