Hi
I am having a fairly regular problem with my Samsung NP300E5C laptop.
I cannot see my home wireless network unless I open device manager and disable, then re-enable my Atheros Network Adapter.
Interestingly I also found that I have encountered this problem with a public WiFi hotspot that I use regularly. This was also resolved by resetting the wireless adapter.
Steps taken to resolve:
Tried to find a more recent Atheros driver, no luck.
Boot from cold, problem does not occur.
Boot from "Sleep" problem does occur (but not every time).
Adapter = Atheros AR9485WB-EG on PCI Bus1
The driver version is 9.2.0.470
I have attached my DXDIAG output.
Also attached before and after adapter reset images.
My router is made by Thompson Telecom and supplied by O2 here in the UK:
WiFi Configuration
====================================
Interface Enabled: Yes
Power Reduction Enabled: No
Physical Address: (removed)
Network Name (SSID): anon-e-mouse
Interface Type: 802.11b/g/n
Actual Speed [Mbps]: 65
Band: 2.4GHz
Security Mode: WPA-PSK
From what I can see here, I probably should fix the interface to g but otherwise I am really beaten by this problem.
Any help much appreciated and any further info please ask
