Hello everyone,
I joined here because I am going crazy trying to fix a computer I've been building. It is:
gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud5
AMD FX6100
2 Sapphire 7950 cards
750 w PSU
16 gigs DDR3 Gskill Ram
Windows 7 Ultimate
1 WD sata HDD
I had everything up and running fine when I first put it together last week. Then after doing all the windows updates, it mysteriously started hanging at the 'Starting Windows' Screen.
Since the install was new, I decided to just format and start over.
So I do a fresh install and it lets me load up windows. Then I actually install the motherboard drivers/chipset drivers that came on the Gigabyte CD and it all of a sudden starts hanging at the 'Starting Windows' screen again. So I am assuming it is something to do with the motherboard/drivers. But I don't know why it didn't have these issues the first time I had it working properly and I'm not sure how to correct it so that I can get my motherboard installed and still have a working windows installation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
