error-windows modeles installer stopped...

I can't update my laptop with Vista home premium pack 2
I try start-search-cmd-run as administrator and type and enter:
_Net Stop wuauserv
_cd % Systemroot%
_Ren SoftwareDidtribution SoftwareDistribution.old
_Net start wuauserv

and I restart the computer and try to look for updates and do it
again the same error appear -windows modeles installer...
Somebody know what to do?
I appreciate any help I am a dummy with computers
