I just recently built a new computer:
Intel i5 3570k
Asus z77 Sabertooth
Ripjaw 8GB DDR3 1333 RAM
CoolerMaster Hyper 212+
Rosewill Capstone 650w PSU
500GB Seagate HDD
Sapphire HD 5850 1gb
Windows 7 Home Premium - Service Pack 1, build 7601
I installed Windows 7 onto it the first time and got it running it had a few problems with lag and such so I re installed it. Since then I have updated everything in the Windows Updater and all the drivers and such are up to date. The problem I am having is the computer is lagging, taking more than a few seconds to open folders and programs such as 'My Computer'. At one point it even told me that it was running slow and recommended I go to 'Windows basic theme'. This shouldn't be happening on a brand new i5 with barely any games/apps on it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
