I have turned on my win7 laptop and forgotten the old password. Went on line and found numerous reset tools, some easier than others, some manual some just boot from reset disc. Can someone tell me why even using different programs 4 to be exact, when it comes to the interface where the box opens and it says "select name, or administrator or whatever their particular criteria name they use , my boxes are empty...no administrators, users, or anything else for that matter and even after trying to type one in or find a name it keeps telling me if I don't select a name it can't work and goes back to loading as usual. Why can't these tools find any mention of my passwords or names, or administrators accounts ect ? :banghead: Thank you ? Stephen Archer
