In the summer I bought a brand new computer from computer planet. It worked brilliantly, but recently I had been having problems, strange blue screens of death and motherboard errors. Tech support told me I should reinstall windows, which I have now done (And I reformatted, so I haven't installed this over my old copy of windows.). The tech helped me install all the drivers I needed. I am now having a strange problem. Any 32 bit program I have installed needs to have admin access to run. If I click without 'running as administrator' the process starts in task manager, but no window will appear. Also when I right click these programs there is an option on the menu called 'troubleshoot compatibility' which thinks I should be running these in windows XP compatibility mode with admin on. These are the latest versions of the software (firefox, opera, malwarebytes, paint tool sai), why is this happening? I have set most of my programs to automatically ask for admin when they start now, but this is very annoying :l any way to stop this from happening?
I am also having a problem with many programs that come with windows (Not sure how to describe them, things in the control panel?) Things I am opening like device manager or windows update or action center either crash soon after starting up or won't start up at all. I am not sure what to do Should I go through the process of reinstalling windows again? I have already virus scanned and done the sfc/scannow thing, both have come back negative. I'm not overly great with computers and any advice would be appreciated :smile:
