rundll32.exe not located

Hi. I just bought a Gateway P-6318u laptop off Craigslist, and after running through some tech checks, I have found that the rundll32.exe is missing.
This computer is running Windows Vista Home Premium service pack 1.
I was not given a recovery disk, so I cannot reinstall Windows.
What can I do?
