I have a toshiba laptop with windows 7 home premium and my USB ports were not working. Someone suggested to uninstàll the USB port devices through the device manager in the control panel. Something about uninstalling universal USB port or something. Apparently if I did that and then restarted the comp it may fix the problem. I fear I have uninstalled sone thing extra because when I restarted it was as if windows had reverted back to windows 98 look and a lot of program's were missing and my files were not accessible, I restarted in the hopes my laptop would fix itself but now when I go to log in, it fails and says the user log in can't be loaded. What have I done? What's happened? Have I somehow wiped my computer? Is there a way to retrieve all my information thst was on there? Please help. Many thanks in advance..
