There was an older thread from 2011 but none of the suggestions helped me.
I am working with an HP dv6000 running on Windows Vista Home Premium. After getting the blue screen of death I restored the system with the disks I created when I first purchased this laptop in 2006. I did a file backup onto a USB external drive and restored my laptop.
On my external drive there is a folder named MINWINPC with the following:
Backup.001 application
Backup.002 all the way until Backup.015
I've tried everything on the old thread and nothing has worked and I feel like HP has taken hostage 60 GB of documents.
Please help!
