SOS (save my sanity)

So my sister downloaded the cold turkey program on my computer, and i can't access about fifty different websites. i used this post to get rid of it, but it still says the DNS lookup failed. there is absolutely no trace of the program anywhere on my computer, but nothing i try that's unrelated to it seems to help.
Does anyone have an idea as to what's going on???
