i have a hp pavilion dv6000 it was running vista home premium until about three days ago it just froze i had to hold the power button and force it to shut down then when i started it up it said operating system not found... i received it as a gift from my sister so i have no repair disc but i saw a recovery partition on the hard disk... i wanted to do a clean boot of windows on it but i don't see a f12 selection at the start up i only see (esc-to enable start up manager ),( f1- to enter system information), (f2- start up check),(f10-to change boot order), (f10-enter setup), (f11-to system recovery)<-- nothing happens when i press that button, i have a windows 7 ultimate cd how can i install this? :frown::frown:
PS: it cannot pass the operating system not found and it appears right after the hp icon at the start
