My problems arose yesterday morning when I went to turn on my computer and it would not boot up fully. Long story short, I found some advice online and tapped F8 while booting to get to the recovery menu. I then when to the recovery options menu where I could open Command Prompt and ran a disk check, which solved my problem for the time being. Computer started up just fine.
Last night, when I turned it off, it had to install one update(Which took about 15 minutes, which if found odd). Well what do ya know, this morning when I turned on my computer, it started, and froze at the windows logo screen for a few minutes, then restarted and gave me the startup repair option(Which I never even got the option of yesterday) which I chose to do. After a progress bar loaded, I got nothing but a black screen and moveable cursor, which was my problem yesterday.
I then proceeded to try and do the same thing I did yesterday to fix my problem, however, when I got to the F8 menu, then tried to open the recovery options menu to get into command prompt, the menu never loaded and after a progress bar I just got a black screen. I have also tried the option of booting from last working setup, to no avail. If anyone has any idea of what I could do I would be extremely grateful. Thanks.
