Hey guys
We're using Windows Vista (SP32 I believe) on an Acer Aspire M1201. Recently a message has been popping up saying something about the catalyst for the ATI Radeon Graphics was not working properly. The prompt suggested we 'enable' the driver. We opened the driver tab in Display Manager and it showed as Enabled, so I thought it would be a good idea to disable it so that we could then re-enable it. It was a very bad idea. Once disabled the options to enable disappeared, and now, since restarting the computer we cannot get past the opening Windows Error Recovery.
I have tried starting Windows with all the Safe Modes, but it keeps getting stuck while Loading Windows Files at \windows\system32\drivers\crcdisc.sys
I have tried restarting Windows normally, but it goes to a black screen with the little white horizontal flashing line in the top left corner.
The display is working because the opening Acer screen is normal, so are the Setup & Boot menus as well as the Windows Error Recovery & Loading Windows Files.
I know I made a big mistake disabling the graphics driver - is there any way to fix this? please help!!!!!
