PC won't boot

Big big trouble here. I hate to admit this but I made a disastrious mistake.
but it is what it is. The monitor came unplugged and when I saw the screen message
looking for it I didn't realize the monitor had came uuplugged and seeing no other option
I shut down with the power button.
Now the PC will not boot a screen comes up telling -as if I didn't know-
the computer failed
to start select launch system repair recommended. Ran that and was told the PC cannot be repaired
automaticly. I ran SFC and get "There is a system repair pending must reboot.
That brings me back to the same window launch system repair.
I ran CHKDSK and it runs for about five seconds and tells me "Checked file system no problems found.
Tried in safe mode last known good configuraion brings me back to the same window
run start repair. Now I said to myself--self- you have a system image on an external HD.
Yea right. It runs and then tells me your system has been restored but no. When the PC restarts
it takes me back to that same window run start repair.

Are drivers included in the system image. If not I am thinking that is the problem. Don't know
what else to try. I know there are some expert computer minds here and just thought maybe
just maybe there is something else to try besides reinstalling the OS don't have a CD so couldn't
do that anyway. The PC is running Windows 7 all I can tell you since it won't boot.
I just bought this PC and had it all set up the way I wanted it. What a bummer this is.
