I have a weird USB port problem

Hi I'm new to this forum and I'm hopping someone could help me out. My desktop are running smooth but sometimes it just suddenly freeze. So I decided to have a format. First it run smoothly until I get into the set up window thingy and then I notice that my USB port won't detect any mouse or keyboard at all. I saw my mouse light are on but not my keyboard. The mouse won't move and keyboard doesn't work too. I tried my mouse and keyboard on another pc it just work fine. Any idea ? I can't do anything at all. Just keep pressing restart button and go on stuck at the set up window part after finishing install window 7.
