Okay i'm having a odd thing happening with my computer right about now
Some cases it begins to Lag a little then disconnect the keyboard from power (Keyboard works fine) and Recently the mouse, and i've had to Restart it when both devices stopped working completely, And as said both devices work fine, Mouse works great As does keyboard.
Thing what happens is, the Keyboard disconnects, and the system lags a tiny little, then it makes the sound windows makes when it reconnects it's been doing it for a while now, but now since it did a double device thing just recently when i had to restart the PC cause i couldn't do anything i'm getting concerned.
My suspicions are the USB ports are beginning to wear or break but that might be extreme? If it's a case with that i'll just upgrade my motherboard than have the trouble of trying to fix the USB's
BTW specifications
Motherboard: AsRock B75 Pro-3M
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K/i5 3770k/3750K
(I turned HT off and as people said a i7 is a i5 with HT and more cache so, maybe fair to say it's a i5 3770k? or 3750k? :3 I do wonder that, and i do have the case with the cache since the i5 750
had 8mb cache but no HT so... ;D we can conspire)
RAM: 32GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333Mhz
Graphics card: ASUS Modified Nvidia GeForce GTX 550ti
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1.
PSU: 750W (unsure of brand)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB + Older 500GB drive from a HP pavilion A1108UK
I've also done a few virus scans and nothing comes up at all, and my suspicions are that the USB's are faulty as one has failed already but the one that failed is one of the usbs at the front The keyboard is connected to one of the ones on the rear and the mouse is connected to the other one at the front.
Also the Jack for the Sound is a bit faulty too but that's the case one where i think i may have damaged it too much, but i'm gonna get a asus xonar sound card anyway
so yeah sounds like a USB issue? if the USB's are faulty i'll just see about getting a Z68/Z77 board from ASUS or Gigabyte, not gonna bother replacing the USB's, Also windows is currently upgraded with latest drivers and everything
