Logging onto Small Business Remote Web Workplace

Hi, I hope you nice folks might be able to help me out. My friend is trying to establish a remote connection to his machine at work and we are having some trouble.

The server is running Server 2000.

My friend's machine is running the following:
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)
IE 9

He and I both have the same set-up but I am able to connect and he is not. We can both log onto the Small Business Remote Web Workplace website but the problem occurs when selecting a machine from the list and clicking "connect." I get a dialogue box warning me about the connection, I click ok and then it connects to the machine. He does not get the dialogue box and the connection doesn't occur...he doesn't get an error message either. Therefore, the problem is not on the server end...it's with my friend's machine.

We have verified all settings are the same in the internet options, disabled any add-ons that might have a pop-up blocker setting, ensured that the pop-up blocker was turned off in Internet Options, tried both editions of IE (64-bit & 32-bit), turned off his firewall to see if that was causing the problem and uninstalled an old unused version of McAfee. The only security software currently installed is Microsoft Security Essentials. Is there something else we can do here?

Thanks,
Joe
