So, I have a Lenovo laptop that I want to sell so I figured I'd wipe the system entirely. I was told to DBAN it, and I did so. 8 hours later, it's complete. I then download Windows 7 onto my USB drive that I formatted to be a boot drive. 3.04 GB later, the USB drive is formatted.
I start up the laptop and I get the message,
"An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system.
Press any key to restart."
I take out the USB and press a key and a message comes up saying,
"No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"
I do so, and get the original message saying there was no OS found.
Is there something wrong with my download or something else? Where can I go from here? I have a product key for Windows 7 and everything, all I need is to install the OS and I'll be good to verify my OS.
