I've got a computer that someone wants me to wipe/reinstall Windows Vista on - no problem.
The issue is she has some fairly obscure arts and craft software installed that she claims can't be re-downloaded following the wipe. I've asked her to scour her emails for download links/find the discs etc but to no avail.
Is anyone aware of any way I can somehow extract and back-up a program (and it's existing registry keys etc) and subsequently reinstall it on the same computer with a fresh OS install?
I'm ready to tell this lady that it can't be done, but I thought it only fair to check if anyone was aware of a method first.
It's probably not relevant, but the software she's looking to keep is 'Silhouette Studio' and 'Sure Cuts A Lot 2'.
Thanks!
