Hey guys, i have a dell xps 630i. it is a work computer with vista and is left on all the time. i went to work one day and it was off. i tried to turn it back on and it boots up, i can see the loading bar then the screen blacks out with only the mouse cursor there. so i took it out of the desktop and put it in an enclosure to see if i can recover anything before its too late ( i am guessing that it already is ) and there was two partitions on the hard drive. one was labelled recovery, the other local disk. i could only access the recovery and not the local disk.
another thing is that i tried to boot from a vista CD to try and restore it but it wouldnt do anything. like the screen would still be black with the mouse cursor. also i cant boot into safe mode. tried f8, f12 , f2. nothing.
