Slow bootup and failed update

As some of you people may know from the hardware section, i have recently built a pc. It is all working fine however according to wisecare it is taking 140-150 seconds to boot up.

To add to this the update to "windows 7 for x64 systems" keeps on failing.

I have a feeling that the failed update is affecting bootup time but why does the update keep failing and how can i fix this?
