Video crashes when running Flash in Vista

I've just recently installed Vista Ultimate 32b via an upgrade of a clean install of XP. (Never again. Was that ever an adventure...).

I'm having some kind of software conflict I can't pin point that's causing the system to behave erraticaly. This only intensified after I slapped on an old WIN7 HD for use as extra storage. Currently the video fails and the monitor goes into sleep mode when any flash media is run, requiring a reboot. And sometimes during the reboot I have to re-enter the bios and reset the boot priority otherwise I'll get the sleep mode bug during boot up, or in the rarest occasions the BSoD, which then requires a system repair followed by a boot priority reset.

Also running any program off of the old WIN7 HD causes the same result. The only thing I can think of is that the WIN7 HD was a 64 bit OS, though I had no issue with this before, using the same WIN7 HD as storage, while running XP as the boot OS. And I wouldn't think this difference would have any effect on Flash causing the video to crash, since flash should be being run off the boot drive.

Things seem to work fine in SafeMode. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks!
