My wife's Dell Insipron won't complete the boot process. It hangs at the startup screen then goes into auto recovery mode. When it finishes that it says it cannot resolve the problem.
I looked through the details and it seems the CLFS.SYS file is corrupt.
Looked up on how to fix this and all repairs say to use the install disc. Well, because this was a new computer with the OS preinstalled I don't have a disc.
Is there any way to replace this file without the disc.
Oh ya, can't boot into safe mode either. It uses the CLFS file too.
