Unfortunately I played around with my sys32 files in order to get a win7 skin I wanted. For a certain change I had to make I was supposed to replace my Shell32.dll file from C:/Windows/Sys32. So I moved the Shell32.dll to my desktop. I couldn't drag in the original or the new Shell32.dll into the sys32 file folder.
Like the genius I am, I restarted my pc after that, wondering if that would fix the issue. Turns out the laptop won't let me even login without the Shell32.dll file. I just get a bunch of errors that it is missing and eventually the screen goes black.
I have done some reading about this and I booted up windows in Safe Mode with Command Promt. I am trying to move the Shell32.dll from my desktop back into my C://Windows/Sys32. Does anyone know how to do this from the command prompt?
I am considering a system restore, but I would lose a lot of important files. Perhaps it is not necessary since all I need to do is to get that shell32.dll back from my desktop into my sys32.3
