Booting...booting

I have a question about Win 7 and booting up into the OS.

First, I have a laptop which also has Win 7 with an i5 CPU and it boots up like lightning, flash bang and its ready to go.

However, I recently acquired a new pc with an i7 CPU with 2TB HDD (if this matters) and the boot times are excruciatingly long almost 30 min.'s or so from pressing the power button to actually booting into the OS and being able to anything in the OS.

The OS is WIn 7 with SP 1 installed/update.
I was wondering if there is a problem with my HDD? or other?
Is the HDD too big so it takes some time to actually get WIndows up and running?
In case anyone is wondering, its this drive: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Newegg.com .
It's gotten quite weird.
