Hello, everyone!
Recently, my computer has been giving me these "webio.dll is missing or damaged" error messages, I receive many of these messages in quick succession upon startup, and when trying to launch certain applications. Some applications fail to load entirely (such as Photoshop Elements) and some receive an error message yet still launch (such as iTunes).
I left my computer today and returned to see my computer had seemingly uninstalled my GPU drivers, and when I tried to use nVidia's tool to detect your GPU and install its drivers, it said that it failed to locate a GPU. So I used a Run command "dxdiag" and it said that there is no GPU detected.
My brother tells me it's a virus, which I guess it could be. I don't have any Antivirus installed, and I have tried installing multiple antivirus software, but they won't install. Neither Norton, Avira, or Symantec will install.
I think webio.dll was deleted after my computer performed a disk check. My computer now performs a disk check nearly every time I restart, and it deletes a huge amount of orphan files each time.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong or how to fix it? I get paid on Friday and can take my computer to a repairman, but I thought I'd ask you all first.
Thanks so much for your help/advice!
