I'm in a really unfortunate bind. I'm praying its not dooms day but more of just a minor set back.
Story: my secondary internal hard drive had been giving me issues for about maybe two weeks and then boom - it freaks out (figuratively - me, literally). Either things would slow down or i'd get error messages in pro-tools saying the drive needs to be defragged. I went to go through an error check and it dismounted the drive. Mid-disk check the drive says there is an error and I can no longer find my important files any more.
Everytime I go access the drive it asks me to format the drive. When I try the recovery programs like ICare it shows that it see's the files in the drive but when I go to recover the drive - it starts then goes really slow only to stop process but give's a large amount of time that's left. I even attempted just getting things 3 files at a time and it lags again.
Please help. I'm on a dead line to turn this project in and I have no money until the project is turned in. (oh yea all the files are on the drive). :cry::angry::banghead:
