So my computer is quite dead. I'll post all details and please tell me if there's still anything that can be salvaged.
I was using it fine, then I restarted it because it suddenly became a bit slow. But it won't boot up and gave a black error screen saying my boot files are corrupted so I went online looking for solution and found this guide: https://neosmart.net/wiki/recovering...ws-bootloader/
I followed it to no avail. The first solution, automated repair doesn't work.
So I tried the second, but after typing in the command "bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd" it gave another error message saying that my Bootrec.exe is corrupted as well.
Next I tried the third solution that is called Nuclear Holocaust or st. But after the third command an error popped up saying my Bcdedit.exe is also corrupted:angry:
Desperated, I brought it to a computer specialist. After checking, he proceeded to format my hard drive. But half way through, it gave another error message simply saying that the process cannot be completed and restarted. After that, the formatting option disappeared
So, is my computer ready for the trash can or can it still be saved?
