I wonder if anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong please? I have tried to post a question and plea for help to other forum users for several days now and no matter which browser I use, whenever I hit submit, the page just hangs as a blank page in Firefox anf IE crashes completely. I did send a request in to support a few days ago but as ye I have had no reply. If I recreate here what I have attempted to do maybe someone can point out what, if anything, I am doing wrong.

This is what I done.

I selected the forum, Windows 7 Support, Windows Vista Support

I selected, New Thread.

My heading is...
Swapped hard drive now computer needs windows activation.

and the body of my post is...
Hello there
Can I get some advice please?I own an Acer aspire Laptop running windows 7 but after the screen got smashed I left it in a cupboard for a few months because I had ready access to another laptop, a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo running windows vista.

I always intended to go back to the acer eventually but then the Fujitsu was given to me to keep and as I preferred it over the acer, I took the hard drive out of the acer and inserted it into the Fujitsu.
This was the only thing I done and to my surprise the machine booted up fine and even showed my original login screen and screensaver.
I logged in and all was fine. I removed some of the old acer applications via the control panel and have used the laptop normally ever since - 4 days since my first login.

Now though, when I check the properties tab of "Computer", it shows the acer logo on the page & at the bottom of the page it says 27 days to activation activate windows now. But, when I turned my old laptop over to get the product key, I can read 4 sets of 5 digits but 1 of the sets of 5 has rubbed off the sticker.

I am the legal owner of both machines yet *ic*os*ft want money from me just to talk about the issue, which I found to be very unfair. So I am wondering if any of you guys can suggest any other route I can take to make my machine workable in the normal sense once the 27 days expire.
There does not seem to be any issues at the moment as I am using it now, but I fear that it will become unusable after the time is up.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated please?

Thanking you all,
Mark

The forum has allowed me to post two messages thus far (both in the Introductory section) but I just cannot fathom why this particular post could trigger any kind of barring process...

any advice please....?

Thanks!

hmmm... I cannot post this either so have cut the main body of the text out and will attempt to do it again, perhaps my post is too long?? I will try to post it as a quick reply in the Introduction Forum. I know it is not the appropriate place but in the read before posting thread it does say this, "Thank you for visiting TSF, we're glad you found us and we hope to see you on the boards". So hopefully a moderator or tech can assist by moving my post to the correct place...please?
