The site would not accept my title. The title should be: Windows Security Popup not Prompting for Username/Password.
Hi,
I seem to be having an issue with one of our end user's logging into a website (Freddie Mac's Loan Prospector - Your Home for More Loans.) This started happening whenever I swapped out the user's old XP pc for a new W7 pc. Whenever they click on the link to log into the web page they get a message saying "The server loanprospector.com at "Freddie Mac Secure Domain" requires a username and password." but there are no text boxes for the user to input a username/password.
The W7 machine that replaced the XP computer was imaged using Acronis (not sure if it has anything to do with it or not.) and I did try to log into the website via a different W7 machine that was imaged. Some of the machines would prompt for a username/password but others would not.
I have tried adding the website to the trusted sites, disabled a/v, turned off UAC settings, turned off pop-up blocker but nothing seems to be working. I called Freddie Mac and spoke with them but they flat out told me to call Microsoft about the issue. I was hoping you guys could provide some input before I tried dealing with Microsoft. Any help/suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
