Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone can help me with my pc
My problem is that after a year of owning my machine it randomly would power off instantly when in the middle of playing games with high graphics settings and would come back on when i pressed the power button and work like normal but finally it cut out mid game and no longer powers on.
When i now press the power button, it starts the fans and LEDs for a few seconds and then goes off completely and seems to restart itself over and over until i turn off the power at the back. (It doesn't even get to the point where anything is displayed on the screen)
I should note that when i posted this on another forum i was advised to simply re-apply the (worn) thermal paste. I'm no expert but i would expect my machine to at least boot up without the aid of a cooler, anyway my processor does get hot when i turn it on so i suspect it isn't dead.
One last thing; when the machine powered off the very last time, the top graphics card was very, very hot and i recently realised that its covering the motherboard battery completely, perhaps this is the cause, anyway i'm adding a video of the attempted startup below:
Me so sad :( - YouTube
the noise at 0:40 is not the computer and i moved the cooler out of the way
If you want the spec heres where i bought it (without warranty)
