Hi everyone,
I have a Sony VAIO PCG-61211M laptop that was working as of yesterday. When I got home today, it wouldn't start but instead jumped into startup repair-mode. I guess the computer is infected by something, 'cause it's so slow. Anyway, this means that the Startup Repair application says 'please wait' forever, while nothing happens (i let it run for 3-4 hours, and nothing happened). I have been searching different forums and threads and tried the F10 shortcut to start VAIO Care Rescue, but this has the same problem. It says 'please wait while VAIO Care Rescue is starting' and nothing happens... Now I have a big problem, as it won't access safe mode (I tried pressing F8 repeatedly). Any ideas on how I can fix this, or even restore the computer? I have no need for backup, as all my personal/work files are on a remote desktop. That being said, I have no rescue disk, as it's supposedly included in the C: partition on this particular computer.
Thanks in advance!
