My dell laptop is not functioning properly

I just recently had a update from dell. I'm not sure what the update was about, but my computer has been completely trashed ever since the update. My task bar freezes and stops working after 10~20 seconds after startup. I am unable to load/click any programs/files/processes/etc. I can't even load up my task manager. My entire computer freezes and I'm forced to force shut down my computer. When I entire into safe mode nothing freezes and my computer is perfectly fine.

I have no idea what happened/what to do. I really need some help. :sad:
