Can't get any sound to come out.

Hello TSF,

I'm stuck. I can't get any sound to come out of my computer's jacks :(


I have ensured that all drivers are up to date. Speakers tested, working fine with separate devices.

when playing music, devices register sound, as in the sound bar jumps up and down in the playback devices page as well as the mixer.

In device manager, no devices have yellow alert icon.

In playback devices I have 4 options:




I can switch the default devices between two enabled ones in the above pic, and they seem to immediately switch to playing the music through them.

I have a sound jack on the front of the computer, which I am assuming is the headphones device listed in the playback devices. plugging in the speakers there change nothing in the devices list.

I have tried all the jacks in the back of the PC with no result, having both devices as default.

any thoughts?
