I have a number of Dell Duo (netbook with touchscreen) computers with 2GB RAM running WIN7 and McAfee AV including endpoint encryption. The EE kills the shutdown process - average 4 1/2 minutes. Boot up is round 3 minutes. I have same image on a Lattitude 2110 Netbook and it is about half the time with half as much memory (1GB). It makes no sense why the Duo's are so much slower.
I have looked for options in WIN 7 and bumped all to max performance but to no effect. Does anyone have any ideas on other options to try? This is a corporate environment and EE is required so I can't get rid of McAfee. The image is basic WIN 7, all of the junk programs have been taken out.
