I am attempting to move from Windows Vista x86 to Windows 7 x64 (a Home Premium, Upgrade version). I definitely know that I can upgrade to the x64 because I checked under the System Information and Tools tab in control panel (this tab saying that the hardware was x64 capable).
However, I keep getting this message (see attached - "This installation disc isn't compatible with your version of windows...") This message only occurs when using the x64 disc.
Can anyone help?
NB: the x86 version installed relatively alright (hence why that message attached is screen captured in the foreground of a Windows 7 desktop), except the window (by window, I mean the desktop) does has does not fit my monitor size. i.e. there is a border of 4cm around the window of unused monitor space.
Thanks in advance for help.
