To enable task Manager on a computer running other editions of Windows Vista
Neither procedure will work, Gpedit.msc is not found at all in procedure 2 and inprocedure 1 none of the items are there as shown regarding the following location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
trying to run taskmgr.exe with double click shows error " windows is unable to find windows/system32/taskmgr.exe even when it is in the correct location.
running comodo internet sicurity premium 5.12.256249.2599 with virus signature database 14303. full scan reveals no viruses or malware.
running miscrosoft security essentials last updated 23/11/2012 with virus def version 1.141.293.0 and spyware definition 1.141.293.0
How can I get the taskmanager to launch. ALL SERVICES are enabled or automatic in services.
