Hi! I am in despite need of some help for my Moms Dell. Im more cmp savvy then her, so she asked me to take a look at it for her. Its a Dell Inspiron laptop. She bought it early this year or the end of last year and it has been totally fine. It is no longer connecting to Internet through the wireless router. Theres my Mac, an Acer and another Dell that all connect to it fine, so theres nothing wrong with the router. The computer has driven with us in the truck because we run a horse rescue. My mom said that it dropped off the dashboard hard prior to this happening so she thinks this is the problem, like something broke inside.
If it does connect its not more for a few seconds then I get a white page for a few minutes then usually Internet cannot display the webpage I always get full bars, but with a yellow explanation point that says Limited access. When I hit Diagnose connection problems it does its little detecting thing and when you get to the end it says, Problems found The default gateway is not available.
But the weird part is that when you plug the Dell into the actual Ethernet it connects to Internet 100% fine.
Any help would be great! Thanks!
